7.2 — weeknotes — this week has flown past!
Have to say this week has just flown past, can’t believe it’s Friday already. Not that I am complaining. Although that means we are ever closer to the Public Sector Challenge on Saturday — 25km across the Bridges of London — very much looking forward to it. Meeting beforehand for breakfast what could possibly go wrong?

Another packed week — when are they not. In Hounslow on Tuesday and London on Wednesday!
In Hounslow on Tuesday for CLT digital portfolio update, We had the digital strategy board the week before so was going to give a very brief overview of some of the projects to ensure everyone had the same information. Ended up having a really enjoyable conversation about all things digital as well as the portfolio.
It was the day after the government announced the AI opportunities action plan so people were aware of that and we had a conversation about how Hounslow was going to continue to embrace AI. Currently we have a number of pilots in a number of areas across the organisation — all going really well. For me it is really about caution and making sure we have the right cyber security and information governance around this very new technology.
It was the Socitm trustee board on Tuesday afternoon where we went through a range of areas from governance to the president’s conference in June of this year. There continues to be so much going on and so much to do! These meetings are a really good coming together of the trustees 2to ensure we are doing the right thing at the right time. We also spent a bit of time planning for our mini strategy day in February which will be an in person meeting — looking forward to that.
On Wednesday I chaired the West London Alliance Digital board that AWS hosted for us in their London offices . Once again a huge range of topics were discussed including the work plan for digital for the year as well as how we can join forces together in West London to improve our cyber preparedness all the way through to the activities around digital integration and connectivity across W London . So much potential so much activity in this area and really looking to do some work at scale
