7.14 — weeknotes — four days and fish pie…
Another nice 4 day week after another very chilled weekend.
In Hounslow House a couple of days this week, which is very much the norm at the moment, enjoying being there and even the commute on the majority of occasions.
The weather was lovely on Tuesday so even managed to have a 121 on the terrace in the sunshine. And in true British manners it was almost too hot so had to get inside.
Spent a fair amount of time with my fellow Directors this week. Starting the week with a development session, which was a nice mix of training and doing. Making strategic training interesting as well as actually useful is a fine balance. I think this was done pretty well on Monday.
Later in the week was the Director’s meeting with the usual wide range of topics. From governance flows, the pandemic preparedness to budgets.
The reason I do week notes, is in part to share what we are doing, in part personal reflections of the week and in part a bit of therapy. I don’t expect people to read them but it’s nice when I know that they do. But the week notes the other week with Cheesecake and Carvery prompted a lot of discussion and contact. Note to self - give the people what they want, maybe less inspiration digital leadership more cheesecake….
So in the spirit of that — an amazing fish pie whilst in Devon this weekend…
