Three days in the office at the start of the week, stayed over on Monday, the delights of a Budget Ibis, but was so nice to walk to work in 2 minutes. Wednesday back in on the train for the Transforming Community Experience (TCE) Board. Couple of shots from the hotel window — really was 2 minutes to the office and Hounslow really is a diverse Borough — :-)

So, over the last couple of months we have been undergoing a Chief Officer reshaping exercise at Hounslow. For those who regularly read all the Hounslow Cabinet reports this is not a surprise. But given that we were in a staffing consultation I didn’t think it was appropriate to talk about it in the weeknotes. There have been several changes across the Chief Officers in the Council.

Officially then from last Monday I picked up responsibly for Resiliency for Hounslow. This includes all things resilience — Emergency Planning, Business Continuity and Flood Prevention etc. There are some natural alignments with cyber security and IT is embedded into the business continuity process — so there is a good links. Lots to learn about and lots to do!

Monday was the Hounslow Leadership Group — always a good opportunity to get together — as usual some good updates / presentations / discussions. Including a presentation on EDI and the new Governance Flows across the Council.

TCE Board was jam packed this week, we are really getting into the delivery of this work now. Going to be a really good couple of months.

Tune of the week: Rema, Selena Gomez — Calm Down (Official Music Video)
