Birthday week this week so a four day week, therefore a shorter weeknote.

My week started with some training as part of my Socitm trustee role. Really important to understand the trustee role and how it is different from the non-executive Director roles that we have been doing. It was really good training and great to bring everyone together.

Throughout the week had a number of meetings around some of our projects and programs, loads of good conversations, challenging at times! Housing — bringing various strands together but driving what is needed — also got the next phase of funding signed off. Planning and building control — we went live with a number of changes Thursday morning so that’s fixed the remaining issues. Finance — a number of changes and things happening here — again we are bringing a number of threads together here as well to be as efficient as possible.

All staff Q&A with Niall on Thursday, a brief update from him followed by the opportunity to ask him any questions — and there was a very wide range of them!! There were a number of digital related questions — so I need to do a bit more communications around some of these to raise the awareness of the good things that we’ve been doing.

Day in London on Thursday meeting colleagues from Granicus — which we do once a quarter to update / discuss the Transforming Community Experience. Always a lot to cover but great conversations.

Birthday Friday (48 — still mid 40’s right?) — so as day off and did very very little — which was lovely — especially after a late Thursday night celebrating the birthday and the distinction :-)

Tune of the week: Random one — never knew the Casualty theme tune was so cool…. Oxide & Neutrino Bound 4 Da Reload
