6.1 — Weeknotes — Happy New Year.
First weeknotes of the year. Hope you all had a great and relaxing time. Batteries recharged!
Spent some of last week with my management team doing some service planning for the year. It’s a good time of the year to reflect on what is and isn’t working and get plans in place for delivery in 2024. A few things being tweaked to improve things.
The new Housing system went live just before Christmas and the team have been busy since making sure colleagues are confident in using the system as well as dealing with the inevitable things that haven’t gone quite as expected. Of a project of this scale there are always things that need to be sorted.
Back on it this week! In Hounslow for two days and London on Wednesday so back enjoying the fun of the trains, actually they behaved themselves quite well this week.
Wednesday met colleagues from Granicus and had a great chat about the work we are doing at Hounslow with their products and thinking about opportunities for the future as well. Really good conversation. One I am really looking forward to developing…
Some great figures on Broadband in the borough, which shows some amazing gains and progress over the last year. Thanks to Nick and the team who have been working tirelessly to improve things as part of the Digital Inclusion Commitment. Still some work to do!
Overall Hounslow figures:
Average speed is now 180.5MB which is an increase of 30% since September 2022
Lines receiving under 10MB is now 3% compared to 3.9% in September 2022
Lines receiving over 30MB is now 91.5% compared to 89.7% in September 2022
