Another week flown past! Another hectic week, lots going on and in the office three days this week, which was good! It is certainly getting busier and busier — although still no problems in booking a desk. Nice to see the regulars and those that I hadn’t seen for a while…

Started the week with the Transforming the Community Experience (TCE) Programme Board, getting to the point now where we have now pressed the button on the procurement for the technology enablers of the programme and getting teeth into the methodology for the service reviews. Great to be making progress on this.

Stayed overnight on Monday in Hounslow so the commute to work was amazing and managed to go for a run on Monday night just as the sun was setting. Just some brilliant colours, that really brings the Borough to life.

I am still having to get into the weeds on a number of projects at the moment, making sure that we are doing what we need to do in the right way. Looking not just in digital but ensuring that across the organisation we get the right resources and engagement. Having that clarity of purpose and direction and ensuring that we are moving gently towards it, is absolutely key.

More work to do in these areas and more focus and pulling together from the team is needed. We have an away day next Thursday to really get to grips with service planning for next year! I am secretly enjoying rolling my sleeves up and getting into some of the detail but it isn’t a sustainable thing that is for sure!

Just to add to the fun today, the washing machine broke again, you now can get easy access to the drum, even when it is spinning…. But never fear, I was able to ‘repair’ and everything is fine!

Tune of the week: Back to enjoying a bit of a mashup! Ghostmasters — Sexy Jane (Extended Mix)
