5.29 —weeknotes — Digital Festival — Halloween fun!
I say this at the start of every month — how is it November already!?
I was shared this amazing video that was taken the other week when we did the Hounslow Gets Digital event in Hounslow house — take a look, as shows the range of services available on the day — https://www.instagram.com/reel/CzI97AAoF6S/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA%3D%3D
A number of check-ins with the team this week, including my own, so a lot of time in 1 to 1s. But good to have the conversations needed to see that teams and colleagues are OK and to move things along.
Given the weather warning on Thursday I made the decision not to travel into Hounslow and stay at home. On Wednesday evening schools were being closed and train times adjusted so I thought I would play safe. Woke up to a lovely morning with leaves on the trees barely moving so felt a complete fraud — better be safe than sorry though. I know a number of colleagues were affected so important to ensure we stay safe!
Halloween this week as well and the train companies were having their fun!
A number of project boards this week as well for asset management and Housing amongst them, also conversations with the suppliers of some of these key projects to ensure that we continue to work together. I think it so important that we work as partners to deliver these projects for the people of Hounslow not just supplier relationship.
November also marks the start of our Digital Festival in Hounslow. A slightly different approach again this year as there is so much going on and we wanted to align with the Colleague Conference at the end of the month. But once again the team have pulled together a great agenda of events for Digital colleagues, the council and the community. Lots more to come!
