Pleased to say that the PETRAS podcast that I did a couple of months back was released this week. Really good to be part of and hear it this week. Was a great panel and really good discussion on the ethics and of internet of things.

You can find it on pretty much any podcast platform by searching for ‘At the edge PETRAS’ but here is the link to it on Spotify:

Three days in the office this week and joyful train journeys, with a train, being cancelled in-between me checking the train and then walking the 5 minutes to the station — oh well got there eventually and I get the delight of a delay repay form.

In on Monday and Tuesday for a number of things. An in person catch up with our Business Relationship Managers, thinking about the future and the plans for ensuring we are able to deliver. Such an important role in ensuring that we align what the business areas want, with what the council needs and how digital can resource and deliver it.

Also had our extended CLT / SLT session on Tuesday — another packed agenda going through new governance flows for projects and programmes, service planning and the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy for the council. Really good to see the real impact that the digital inclusion work is making in the borough but there is still so far to go!

On Wednesday had the next workshop on the Level 7 course — was really good, had missed the last one and nice to get back into the swing of things. What is worrying is that we are nearing the end of the formal part of the course before we get into the assessment and bringing together the assignments and portfolio — lots of work to do! But I can’t believe it has gone so quickly.

A number of check in conversations on Thursday, which has meant that I have drunk a lot of coffee!! But really good to ensure we check in face to face with colleagues.

Also had the Transforming our Community Experience Board (TCE) today, another packed agenda. Board signed off the decision for the Tech Enablers for the programme — more on this when I can, but a huge amount of effort from across the council into this piece of work. Now we can get on with the fun bit!

Tune of the week: Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen — Good Time (Official Video)
