A nice short week for me this week as I was off on Thursday and Friday. Still managed to squeeze what felt like a full week into the three days!

Monday was the second of our Colleague Expo events — getting colleagues together with a purpose. Same set up as last week with the Leader, Deputy Leader and the Chief Executive speaking. Followed by the stalls and discussions with colleagues — it was a sold out event and again nice to see so many colleagues. We ended the day with my Management Team having our regular catch up over a coffee — nice to get out and about.

Tuesday I was back at CLT in the morning with a couple of things. An update on some of the tech challenges that we are having at the moment — the latest of what is going on, the steps taken and what’s next. Is so annoying when things don’t work as they should so trying to get these resolved as quickly as possible.

I was also at CLT to present and talk about Information Management approach and how and where we save information; how we manage it and so on. Was a really good and challenging discussion. Lots to think about as we move forwards on this one. The message was clear — be bolder and be clear with what we are going to do as we move forwards. Bit of work to do here with this to progress.

Rest of Tuesday was on my Level 7 management training session which was good to see everyone — topic was Risk and Change Management — so all very relevant at the moment. It’s a very fast paced course with a lot of thinking time and breakout rooms. So by the end of the day I was very much brain dead… Great course though, apart from getting the next assignment that we need to do!

Wednesday essentially squeezed in the rest of the weeks meetings into one day. 14 meetings in one day is not fun, or really productive. So glad it’s done and dusted.
