2.46 — results of the Socitm customer satisfaction survey and…..
…we have improved, across pretty much all areas!!! Hooray! We have a lot of digging to do with the data and the comments, but the headline figures are great and good improvements over all areas from last year. I am dead proud of this — increasing performance and perception especially during the middle of a pandemic! Pretty impressive I think. The team has done really well.
I’ll write some more about this when we have looked at the detail. Whilst it is great that we have improved over the past year I think the real value in these exercises are the learnings that you get from them. We will be pulling the comments into an action plan that we will work to improve our services over the next year.
We went to our corporate board this week to update them on the new One Hounslow approach to transformation — an aligned service design approach (now called community centred design) and an aligned programme and project management approach will ensure getting things done will be easier. We also have an evolved Design Authority that has emerged from the Digital Design Authority. This will ensure that we are genuinely able to transform across the council, actually that’s wrong, across Hounslow — we are working with partners from all over the Borough to ensure that we are improving the lives of our communities.
The discussion was really good, setting the scene for how we are going to move these projects forwards. We are coming back in a couple of weeks with the details of the projects using the new templates — really exciting!
Had a great meeting with the various Managing Directors of our council companies this week to talk about the service that we are providing and get an idea of their future requirements. I am meeting the chair of their board next week as well so good preparation.
Leisure continues to progress, lots of systems moving along and starting to open some of the buildings this week — so some really key milestones this week. Almost in a place where we are able to move the status of the IT element of the project from Red to Amber — which is a good result!
Friday evening we launched our recruitment!! Over the past few months we have been working on a reshaping Digital & IT to ensure that we have the capacity and capability to deliver the digital strategy. We have created new teams in Digital for Data and Service Design as well as a range of exciting posts. We are working with Penna to ensure that we are able to get some great people to come and work with us. Was dog sitting this week, was nice to have a dog in the house again, he even made an appearance on the weekly video to the team, although I didn’t like the fact that he got more positive comments than me!! Some amazing sun sets and sun rises this week as well — nice to get up and out early.
Started to open the advent calendar this week — beer before breakfast is OK right?
